Community Group Studies

A Look Back . . .

As new people enter into the community of Christ Covenant Church, there will be a desire to take a look back at where we have been.  The attached files are a history of our studies through the ministry of Community Groups:

Fall 2009 -- In the S.H.A.P.E. Study, we looked at the Spirtual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences that the Lord has given to you for service unto the body of Christ and the world around you.  For many, this is the starting place for prayerfully considering where they "fit" in the community of faith.

Spring 2010 -- The Letter to the Philippians.  In this study, we looked at the way that Paul spoke of the gospel as a partnership for all who claim Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.  The study points us to the gospel as the source of partnership, our mentoring, our economy and our sufficiency.

Fall 2010 -- The DNA of Christ Covenant Church.  In this study we are answering the question of who we are as a community of faith loving the Lord Jesus Christ, training those who are desiring to grow in Him, and serving the world in our reach.  The DNA of Christ Covenant Church is not unique to us.  It has been the DNA of those who are or have been followers of Christ for all of church history.

Spring 2011 -- With the start of FOUNDATIONS in January, our time in Community Groups will be modified to focus on this time of disciple making.  The calendar for the Spring of 2011 is attached below.  We will take this semester in Community Groups to focus on Lord's Day Worship, FOUNDATIONS gleanings, fellowship and prayer.  May the Lord bless this time by helping us to grow in grace together.
