City Project - Day 4 - Thursday
Another good day of progress at City Project Hernando. The day started in the word of God with Nick Manley sharing a picture of the early church sharing their possessions with others. Nick reminded us that God has given us more than we need so that we can share with others. City Project is a great reminder of that important truth. Today's progress is really like rounding third base and heading for home. We continued to see progress on the exterior. The repairs on the siding and the porches are almost complete. We also made great headway on the kitchen floor and the painting in the bedrooms. Crown moulding was installed in the dining room and the entryway trim was finished and got a first coat of paint. As with any project, we have found that there is more to accomplish than we can get to with the resources we have been given. However, I believe that the Lord is pleased with the desire of His people to serve. It was also a great blessing to see the family of Dorothy Malone joining in the work with us! They have even asked if they can continue to work at night while we are away. It seems that the Lord is blessing our efforts by multiplying them through the recipients. Having said that, we are still in need of a good, hard day of work to get near the finish line. We would love to have you join us tomorrow. May the Lord Jesus continue to strengthen our hands for the work.
