 City Project 2010

City Project is simply a way to be a blessing to the City where God has placed us.  It is specifically a project that focuses on home renovation/repair for our neighbors who are not able to accomplish these tasks on their own.  The picture of renovation/repair is not unlike what Jesus Christ does for His people.  He takes broken, worn out lives and renews them by the power of His Word and His Spirit.  Sometimes that renewal takes longer than we would like, but He is faithful to accomplish it according to His own plan.

For Christ Covenant Church, City Project is aimed at focusing the resources of the local body of Christ in loving the city of Hernando.  In saying the local body of Christ, we are saying that it is our desire to see other followers of Christ join together in a united effort of demonstrating the love of God for His world, and for His image bearers.  By demonstrating unity, Jesus said the world would know that the Father sent Him.  May this prayer, answered by the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, be easily seen as we rebuild, repair, paint, and beautify the world around us.

Our dates for City Project 2010 are July 19 -24.  Please plan to join us in any way you can in accomplishing this important project.
